"I am so pleased with this new album and very excited to have played a part in the recording. Each album has shown more growth with the depth of material and in the overall performances. I think that is because each "daughter" continues to grow both personally and musically. Not only is this collection and inspiration to "gal" singers and musicians, this will leave some of the guys saying..."man listen to that tight harmony and how in the world did she play that break...I gotta figure that out!!!" My highest respect goes out to each of the ladies here. We truly have become a family"- Dale Ann Bradley

Sings lead on SCENES FROM AN OLD COUNTRY GRAVEYARD and Harmony Vocals on GO UP ON THE MOUNTAIN AND WAIT
"To me, being a "Daughter of Bluegrass" feels very special. It is being part of a unique family, kind of like a "sisterhood". For if we are "Daughters of Bluegrass", then we are all sisters, and like sisters we
have a special bond - a bond that weaves its way through the music we
play, the lives we live and the friendships we cherish. To have been
accepted into this special family means the world to me. I believe we
share a common love for the music, a sincere appreciation for its
origins, and a fervent desire to preserve it and touch those around us
with it. And like sisters, even though I'm far away from the fold, I
still feel the strong sense of family with my other sisters and it is
truly wonderful to be a part of this special "Bluegrass Bouquet"."

"The sheer size and scope of this project is enormous, certainly from bluegrass, and the collection of talent is mind-boggling. I was both proud and humbled to be asked to be a part of it! In the face of such a thing, it's hard to describe it, but I have to say this: The collection here not only speaks to the contributions of women to this one single album but serves to remind us of their input into the whole genre. There are women writers, pickers, singers, producers, engineers....you name it, and they did it. And they were great to work with. I'm pretty sure girls are here to stay. The CD is very cool, the songs are great, and the music is simply fabulous." - Martha Hearnon Adcock

"I am greatly thankful to to be a part of the daughters of bluegrass project for several reasons - for friends and for fellowship, but above all it hasn't been that many years ago that women were not well recognized in bluegrass. As it was in country music several years ago the women had set the pace in country music and now I feel like I have been a big part in setting the pace for women in bluegrass. Thank you so much" - Stacy York |

Honorary Daughter
I sit here in amazement looking at my yellow Daisy DOB pin - honored- and realizing that its the things like this - and its folks like Dixie Hall - that makes Bluegrass the special genre it is. Heartfelt love toward each other - gratitude and a loving hand that reaches out with encouragement - especially during hard times - is what so many of the songs and women of Bluegrass are about. Caring, Sharing, Love, Struggle and finally, good times with good music and good friends to enjoy Life and make it all worthwhile. Thank you Miss Dixie for making my life sweeter and more worthwhile.
